Ditto Tobi. That's what sounds like to me. It's sad. I agree he needs to do his homework. You (Mr. video man) mentioned a very fallacious statement about why Obama took his name off the ballot. Those states broke the rules! The Democratic candidates all agreed not to campaign in those states. BOTH Edwards and Obama stuck to the deal and took their names off the ballot. Hillary did not, which many realize now why she kept it on - hoping if it ever came close she would pull this crab (wanting those votes counted). You said he took it off because it was not a black state. (embarrassing for you) You gotta do your homework before doing something like this. Besides, it doesn't make sense even if you didn't know that. Tell that to the whitest states he's won! Beginning with Iowa. What about the 75,000 in Oregon that turned out to see him speak? What about the 11 straight primaries he won early on? (Yep, more white states in there.) Finally, he wrapped it up all in Montana (don't know very many minorities there). Yeah. This is obvious racism. As as much as you tried to fly under the radar, it's screaming at us. While, the rest of us come together supporting him, including Latinos, we'll be thanking our lucky stars that your kind didn't foil it for us. I'm a supporter of both Hillary (well was) and Obama because the platforms are so similar, but I voted for Obama because the slight difference is what we need to move forward.
I think it's sad that you feel this way. I have never seen Obama as not being aware of Hispanic issues or all American issues. That's why voters want change. There should not be division because of race or gender. Your suggestion that Barack won this because of the black vote is ridiculous. They account for only 12% of the population (even fewer voters). Over 60% of them were for Clinton when this started. (Do more research) They turned up in numbers, but African Americans have always been big voters, moreover loyal Democratic voters which is why areas dense with blacks are awarded more delegates. That’s how the party rules work. For this reason, I agree that Hispanics need to be engaged in politics. We all should. Make our voices heard, earn delegates. To suggest that Hispanics and women look toward the Republican Party is preposterous. These politicians certainly don't care about you or immigrants in a way in which would benefit the Hispanic population or anyone in America. As an activist for immigrant rights you disappoint me. This post seems to be fueled by an underlying hatred for other minority cultures, particularly African Americans. This is a country that is a melting pot of all races and creeds. I will stand by brown, just as I would yellow, white, and black. And I stand by Obama because he believes in the same - not division, but unity.. The opportunity and the belief that one day we'll have a Latino president, an Asian president, and this go round a Black one. Luckily, people like you are a minority. As us wealthy whites, scholars, voters under 30, and YES …women move forward with our support we hope the older population who may still harbor racism, minorities and working class in rural America who fear they’re fighting for position, get passed this nonsense.
